Breathing Dragon Hot Yoga to Open First Baltimore Studio at Harbor Point

Breathing Dragon Hot Yoga will be opening its first Baltimore location at Harbor Point.

With studios in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, Breathing Dragon will arrive in Maryland with a 4,000 square foot studio at the Exelon Building along Dock Street. The new Harbor Point studio will offer a variety of styles suitable for all levels, specializing in Original Hot Yoga, Hot Vinyasa Power Flow Yoga, Warm Yin/Yang Yoga, and Hot HIIT classes. In addition, the new studio space includes a range of amenities including changing rooms with showers and private lockers. Breathing Dragon is tentatively scheduled to open by September 2021.

“Breathing Dragon Yoga is honored and excited to serve Harbor Point and the surrounding Baltimore area with hot yoga therapy, especially as we emerge from the pandemic, with so much need for yoga for all,” said Mori Dadgardi, Owner, Breathing Dragon Hot Yoga. “CommUNITY is everything, and we love the Harbor Point community! Given the amazing location, synergy of tenants, and the best-in-class facilities, Harbor Point was an undeniable fit for Breathing Dragon Yoga as we expand into new markets.”

“I’m pleased to be among the first to welcome Breathing Dragon to Baltimore,” said Michael Beatty, President, Beatty Development Group. “Coming out of a pandemic, the importance of health and wellness has never been more apparent. The Breathing Dragon team brings an incredible mix of energy and passion to their studio, and their enthusiasm will make them a terrific, positive addition for Harbor Point and the surrounding community.”

Breathing Dragon has already been active in the community as a participant in the Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore’s Waterfront Wellness summer fitness program. As part of the program, Breathing Dragon is offering free yoga classes for registered participants on the Harbor Point Central Plaza on Thursday evenings. The program kicked off in June and will continue until the end of September.

Breathing Dragon is the latest retail tenant at the Exelon Building, joining west elm, Ceremony Coffee Roasters, Plantbar, honeygrow, and Inspire Nail Bar & Spa. Opened in 2016 at Harbor Point, the Exelon Building is the Exelon Corporation’s regional office and the headquarters of its Constellation business unit. The mixed-use building also includes 40,000 square feet of retail space on the ground level, the 103 residences of 1305 Dock Street, and a 750-car parking garage.

Located along Baltimore’s scenic waterfront between Harbor East and historic Fell’s Point, Harbor Point is a 27-acre mixed-use project with a planned three million square feet of office, retail, residential, and hotel uses, as well as 9.5 acres of open space.

JLL’s Jeff Bach and Bryan Cyphers represented Beatty Development Group in the transaction; Nicki Berg with Greenspring Realty Partners represented Breathing Dragon Hot Yoga.
